We've got playhouses opening, literacy carnivals and a random party going on in Sai Kung. Let's get into it!

1. Quarry Bay: ECP Literacy Carnival

Elephant Community Press teams up with Rebooked for a lovely afternoon of storytelling, writing workshops, game booths, and reading corners. Best for ages 6–10 but younger sibs can tag along. Tickets required. 25 April, 2pm–5pm, Quarryside More info

2. Taikoo Square: Books for Love Reading Corner

Rolling Books pops up outdoors with 100+ children’s books for on-site reading (no buying — just enjoying). A rare “slow down and breathe” activity. Free. 25 April, 1pm–3pm More info

3. Sai Kung: Seadon SK Grand Opening Festival

4. Causeway Bay: Wonder Valley Playhouse Grand Opening
New indoor playhouse opening in Windsor House, 15/F. Grand opening special: $50 for 1 adult + 1 child for 1 hour (!!). Face painting, balloon twisting, dress-up corners. Expect crowds — but the price is unbeatable. More info
