Stop the "Admissions Anxiety." Start your 2026 school journey with a clear, insider roadmap.

Hong Kong kindergarten admissions shouldn't feel like a high-stakes secret society.

Between making sure you get your applications in time, applying for the registration certificate, figuring out what you need for your child's portfolio and asking the right questions at open houses, it's easy to feel like you're already behind before you've even started.

The worst part? Most of the advice you find online is either outdated, contradictory, or hidden behind expensive consultancy fees.

I wrote this guide to be the roadmap I wish I had - distilling the complex HK system and advice from countless parents into an actionable 80 page strategy for your family

About Me and Why I Wrote This

When I first moved to Hong Kong with a toddler and newborn I was overwhelmed by just how much effort I needed to put in just to find a kindergarten.

I did a simple reel on it and it unexpectedly went viral. All of a sudden I had hundreds of parents reaching out to me sharing their lived experiences, tips for navigating the system, and most importantly offering me comfort that I was not alone in this journey.

This is a guide I would have loved to have when I first moved here. Not something generic or sponsored, but a genuine roadmap for a newbie with all the insider tips.

Every section of this guide is designed to answer the real-world questions parents ask, moving you from initial confusion to a winning application. The insights within aren't just from brochures; they are built on candid conversations with Hong Kong parents and teachers who have been exactly where you are.
