Hello Reader Happy summer holidays, everyone! The International Arts Carnival has officially kicked off as with summer holidays and ALL the free activities that come along with it. Let's go! 1. Sai Kung: Po Lam Fire Station Open DayThis is the good stuff β fire trucks, rescue dog demos, escape room games, and kids get to climb all over the vehicles. Free entry, no booking needed, just show up and let them live their firefighter dreams. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even combine it with a general Sai Kung day trip for a HK city escape. Gets busy, so GO EARLY and bring snacks for the queues!

π 12 July, 10am-5pm π²Free π Detailsβ 2. Kowloon Bay: International Arts Carnival β "Starchitects" by Motionhouse (UK)**Five kids turn cardboard boxes into rockets and blast off to space β told through acrobatics, digital projections, and zero-gravity choreography. This is the IAC's big opening show and the part I really like is that it involves using cardboard boxes and semi-relatable(?) stunts - i.e. hopefully it'll provide some inspiration for my kids when PNS next delivers π
3. TST: Hong Kong Kids Disco!!!!Yes, a proper kids' disco! DJ, lights, dancing, goodie bags β held at Marco Polo Hotel. Two sessions available. No idea how it'll turn out but if you enjoy having dance parties with your kid at home, why not expand that thought? Also indoors so yay aircon!

4. Sai Ying Pun: "My Living Room, My Little Universe" Exhibition + Artkids Tour**What would the world be like if the chair at home had wings? In this exhibition, the kids become lead designers, collaborating with local artists on an adventure that turns imagination into art and (apparently?) real objects? And if that's not enough, on Sunday there's a special guided tour LED BY KIDS (ages 6-12 trained as guides) and there are also sensory play sessions led by artists too (registration required)!
